Here's a whole bunch more pages from issue one.  It's nice to have the book out there!  I'm sure I missed a couple here, but it's got to be close to the whole book posted now.  I tried to find the inks for issue two's cover, but I don't know where I saved them.  Sorry about that!

Loved the Dark Knight book. Once again you amaze me. All the detail in the building work and scenery is one of the main things that sets you apart for me. Keep it up.

These pages are truly inspirational. Having you work on Batman is probably one of the most exciting additions to the Batman archives in years! NICE WORK!!!

Excellent... just excellent... I love how you can jump from a super-detailed page to the more "simple" pages like the ones with the children.
Probably one of your best (along with Second Coming, in my opinion) works so far.

Question.
How many pencils do you think you go through on average per issue.

I'm sure you get this allot, my bad if I'm being redundant.

Hey David,
my name is Jesse Wichmann and i was fortunately enough to receive a positive portfolio review from you at the new york comic con this past october (i had the over rendered rocks and trees, and the black horse on the black background and you also gave me a sketchbook that you drew some reference stuff on. Lol, at the end of the review i'm not sure who was more disappointed, you, that you couldn't mold me into a better artist, or me, trying to figure out how to commute like 9.5 hours to canada :)

i had planned on sending you a thank you note via your website after the convention and found everything had been shut down due to ebay scumbags. it's a little late, but i just wanted to say thank you for your time at NYCC, helpful tips and generous praise on my work, i'm hugely appreciative for all your shared knowledge and advice. (and super excited to see that your blog has resumed!)

thanks again for your time and best wishes to you, your family and your continued success!
-J. Wichmann

David, I just purchased your instructional DVD's from the Gnomon Workshop, and I have to say I am hooked! Your work is amazing and inspirational to all aspiring artists. I loved your work you did for the HULK! Keep up the great work.

Hi David!!

I also got absorbed by the Gnomon DVD's (the one about hands and feet is still in the pending list) and I have to thank you for those lectures....

I hope there is still more to come. I would really appreciate at least one about rendering and texturing... dramatic lightning or clothing would also rock...

Anyway thanks a lot for reconsidering resuming with the blog and posting such an amazing stuff, as you said in the DVDs yourself, copying from our favourite artists helps on learning to capture the feeling and proportions (it was something like this, I'm sure).

Thanks a lot and keep up feeding us with more stuff!!!

Cheers!!

Hey man, when's the next issue of The Dark Knight coming out??? Really loved the first issue and I'm excited to see what you're going to do with this series.

Just read your article in Wizard about the 11 best Batman artist (including yourself). I laughed about your Risso story. I too have it in the bedside bookcase. Every time my work gets to detailed, I check out Risso's shadow work and groan!! He is a master!!! I don't know why Broken City is not more popular. It is an inspiration to not only illustrator but photographers of which I am. It took two reads to figure out who the two killers were....I was that enthralled with the artwork!!

The double page of batman under the rain is incredible. I'm a French fan of Mr. Finch's work, I know his work... but I must say that this page is stunning me.

I will be interested to buy this incredible artwork. So I will greatly appreciate if you can help me to contact Mr Finch... or if you read this Mr Finch, please contact me :-)
